Well, it's nice just to be nominated, considering how the Broadway establishment has dissed Disney shows in recent years. But they couldn't ignore this eye-pleasing and emotionally engaging show, a transplant from London that actually improves on the beloved 1964 movie. Then again, they could easily have ignored it — by nominating Legally Blonde, the most surprising show to get snubbed.
Tony Outlook: Too square to get much support for Best Musical, but the lavish production should grab some lesser awards.
